Possibly the most asked question to any photographer— “what should I wear to my session?” So here I am today with some tips and tricks for choosing your outfit for your engagement or couples session. In my opinion, picking outfits for a whole family is way easier to balance than just outfits for two people!! Without the wiggle room to add textures, patterns, or colors, sometimes selecting what you wear for your session can feel a little daunting.

Zainab and Steven were married under a pavilion at Crystal Lake Park in Urbana Illinois on May 31, 2025. The bride and groom were surrounded by their closest family and friends, some traveling from several hours away to see the pair wed.

Colin and I recently got new brand photos taken (eek!) and I wanted to share how they turned out!! We rented out The Studio on Sampson, in Tremont Illinois. It is SUCH a beautiful space and it totally fit the vibe we were looking for!

Ian and Abby were engaged in December of 2025, after MANNNNY sweet years of dating & getting to know one another. I met Ian a few years ago during my time spent in the Art Education program at the University of Illinois, and FINALLY getting the opportunity to meet his sweet fiancée was such a blessing! If you were to meet these two, you would immediately understand why they work so well together. Their encouragements to one another throughout our shoot alone would literally bring me to tears. Such an amazing couple, such a CUTE PUP!!! and such an incredible future these two have before them.

I am so grateful to have captured a little piece of their love story! Cheers to the future Fishers!!

I have had the absolute PLEASURE of becoming close friends with this sweet grad over the past few years!!! Carla graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in May of 2025, with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Art Education. This girl put in MANY hours working on lesson plans, prepping teacher samples, and just thinking about her future classroom and students. I had such a blast capturing these moments not only as her photographer, but as a close friend. Cheers Carla, we’re done!! Congrats to the class of 2025!!
