Vintage inspired Wedding in Northern IL

Sarah and Corey’s wedding day felt like stepping into something timeless—in the best, most effortless way.

They were married last summer at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manteno, Illinois, surrounded by their people and all the quiet, meaningful moments that make a ceremony feel really special. There’s something about a Catholic church wedding that just slows everything down a bit—the anticipation, the walk down the aisle, the way everyone leans in a little closer. It felt intentional, grounded, and full of heart.

Upon celebrating outside of the church, Corey helped Sarah into their vintage inspired, UK themed car and took a joy ride around the block, soaking in all of the newly-wed feelings before joining us back at the church for photos with their wedding party.

After the ceremony, everyone made their way to The Majestic in Kankakee, where the vibe shifted into this beautiful mix of vintage elegance and laid-back celebration. Sarah and Corey pulled so much inspiration from Art Nouveau and the 70s, but nothing felt themed or overdone. It was soft, warm, and layered in a way that just worked. Earth tones, delicate details, a little bit of nostalgia—it all came together so naturally.

And honestly, it fit them perfectly.

These two have such a clear love for the things they love—and Elvis is very high on that list. Music has always been a big part of their relationship, so when it came time for their first dance, Sarah had something planned.

Instead of pressing play on a song, she surprised Corey with their favorite Elvis impersonator singing live.

You could see it all over Corey’s face the second it clicked—total shock, followed by the biggest smile. It was one of those moments where everyone else kind of fades out, and it’s just the two of them, completely locked in. The room felt it too. No one was looking at their phones, no one was talking—just watching something really, really special unfold. After their first dance, Sarah and her Dad danced to a song that fit them straight from their heads to Sarah’s blue-suede-shoe covered toes… I’ll give you one guess what their Father-Daughter dance selection was!

The rest of the night carried that same energy. So much laughter, so much dancing, and so many moments that felt easy and real. Nothing forced, nothing overly polished—just a really good day with really good people celebrating something that matters.

Sarah and Corey created a wedding that felt like them through and through. Vintage-inspired, a little nostalgic, very intentional—and still completely present.
