Meet the team behind Meredith Hislope Films
Meet Colin
My goal is to capture your truest moments, documentary style. With a background in journalism, I aim to deliver a true-to-you story that brings you back to the moment everything happened.
Colin has been working with Meredith from the very beginning of Meredith Hislope Films and Photography. Colin received a degree from the University of Illinois in Journalism, which led him to discover a love of documentation visually.
When not behind the camera, Colin is probably watching sports (specifically the STL Cardinals or the Chicago Bears), or covering sports for the University of Illinois with our local NPR station, OR playing tug-of-war with Meredith and Colin’s dog Pluto.

Meet Meredith
My hope for you? Stunning documentary images and films that chronicle your love, your in between moments, your memories—as they happened naturally.
Like you, I am a romantic at heart. I ask the absolute most out of photography and know how to make it deliver. I expect your images to feel honest, exciting, loving, and above all, real. I believe the best films are made by stepping back and observing, allowing you and your loved one space to just be you. Need some direction? No problem, I can help with that. However, my ultimate goal is always to provide you and yours the space to just be yourselves.
When not behind the camera, you can find Meredith sipping on a latte with her husband Colin, reading utopian fiction, or maybe even watching Pride and Prejudice (the 2005 version) for the one millionth time.
