University of Illinois Graduate Photos—Carla, Class of 2025
I have had the absolute PLEASURE of becoming close friends with this sweet grad over the past few years!!! Carla graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in May of 2025, with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Art Education. This girl put in MANY hours working on lesson plans, prepping teacher samples, and just thinking about her future classroom and students. I had such a blast capturing these moments not only as her photographer, but as a close friend. Cheers Carla, we’re done!! Congrats to the class of 2025!!
There are a ton of really fantastic spots on campus for graduation photos, but one of my favs is absolutely near the Alice Alumni center, by this beautiful fountain! Around graduation weekend, facilities dyes the fountain orange! It is really visually stunning in photos, and is really cool in person too. Unfortunately… the dye doesn’t last forever, and they have to re-dye the fountain several times a day. Can you guess where this is going yet?! The amount of times that the fountain was shut off while we were here taking photos… was two times too many for us, hahaha! It was really unbelievable. We would get to a new location, get set up, and all of a sudden the fountain would shut off!! After this happened for the SECOND time, Carla and I couldn’t do anything but laugh. It did give us time to send her bestie off to grad a bottle of champagne for us to pop, which turned out to be super cute and totally worthwhile. So, moral of the story here—the orange fountain is cute, but at what cost???
