Romantic St. Louis Couples Photography Session at Forest Park and Marine Meadows
There’s nothing I love more than photographing couples who bring both laughter and love to their session. Elli and Adam were a dream to work with — fun, adventurous, and so genuinely connected. They met in college, and since then their relationship has grown into something beautiful and steady, yet playful and full of joy. When they aren’t working or spending time with friends, you’ll usually find them outside soaking up the sunshine, or at home surrounded by their ever-growing collection of houseplants.
For their St. Louis couples photography session, we wanted to highlight their personalities with a mix of iconic city spots and natural beauty. We explored some of the most romantic photography locations in St. Louis, including Forest Park’s Muny and Jewel Box, before heading just outside the city to Marine Meadows flower farm. Each spot brought a different feel to their gallery — from architectural charm, to garden romance, to countryside wildflower magic.
Forest Park Couples Photography
If you’ve ever spent time in St. Louis, you know that Forest Park is a treasure. With its winding paths, historic landmarks, and beautiful gardens, it’s one of the most versatile and photogenic locations in the city.
With Elli and Adam, we explored two of the park’s most iconic spots: The Muny and The Jewel Box. Both offered unique backdrops that perfectly matched the couple’s playful, nature-loving personalities.
Couples Photography at The Jewel Box
Our first stop was the Jewel Box, one of Forest Park’s most romantic spots. While many love photographing inside the greenhouse, we chose to stay outside in the gardens, which were in full bloom. The landscaping around the Jewel Box is just as breathtaking as the structure itself, with vibrant flowers, winding paths, and peaceful green spaces.
One of the most beautiful spots we found was a pond with lily pads. Elli and Adam walked hand in hand along the edge, pausing to admire the reflections in the water. Between the colorful gardens and the tranquil pond, this part of the session felt soft, romantic, and completely true to who they are.
Couples Photography at The Muny
Next, we headed to The Muny, St. Louis’ beloved outdoor theatre. Instead of shooting on stage (lol), we focused on the outside architecture and surrounding spaces. The grand columns provided such a perfect dramatic, timeless backdrop. The sun was streaming in just the most perfect way through the gardens outside the veranda, creating this gorgeous warm light that I am so obsessed with.
Elli and Adam moved so naturally here — laughing, leaning against the columns, and enjoying a quiet moment on the benches. The contrast between the elegant architecture and their playful energy made for an amazing series of photos.
Marine Meadows Flower Farm Couples Session
After exploring Forest Park, we drove just outside St. Louis to Marine Meadows, a flower farm full of natural beauty. Wide fields, vibrant blooms, and golden evening light made this location feel like a countryside escape.
Elli and Adam wandered through the rows of flowers, laughing and soaking in the moment. We even found an old tree swing near the back of the property! Elli and Adam shared a moment together, playing and enjoying the sunshine. Marine Meadows gave us the perfect ending to their session — relaxed, colorful, and endlessly romantic.
Why This Session Felt So Special
What stood out most about Elli and Adam’s session was how true it felt to them. From playful moments on the benches at The Muny, to romantic portraits by the pond at The Jewel Box, and finally carefree laughter in the fields at Marine Meadows, every location reflected a part of their story.
By choosing a mix of city landmarks and countryside scenery, we created a gallery that shows both the fun and the tenderness of their love.
